2. Data set test
The assessments vary based on which role you’ve applied for. If you have applied for an analyst role, you will be asked to complete a data set test to make sure that your knowledge aligns with your experience.

3. Phone interview and discussions
Successful candidates are guaranteed an interview by phone. We will then review and, if positive, offer you a job.

Analyst - Quantitative Strategies
If you are suited for this role you will also be asked to complete a data set test in either C / C++ or Java. This is because this role works with extremely large data sets based on Level 3 orderbook data. OOD is preferred but is not essential. What is essential is well clean readable code with comments. Successful submissions are guaranteed a phone interview.
If you are suited for this role you will also be asked to complete a data set test in Python. This is because this role works with data that is typically based on L1 data (lower frequency) that is typically normalized and therefore easier to process. Extra weight will be given to the presentation of the results. Successful submissions are guaranteed a phone interview.
If you are suited for these roles then you will be expected to be knowledgeable about financial markets and in particular, algorithmic trading. It is desirable to have knowledge about concepts such as algorithms, transaction costs analysis and low latency trading. The data test is not required and the next stage is a phone interview. Interesting and relevant applicants for roles outside these three streams (Business Analyst, HR, Operations etc) will proceed to the phone interview stage.
